What We Do?
Swanwick Catering Equipment was established in 1958, and operates a national and oversees catering equipment, domestic white goods and laundry services business. The business was based in Andoversford, near Cheltenham, for 40 years where we operated a warehouse and showroom facility. The business is now located at 3rd Floor, The Old Stock Exchange, St Nicolas Street, Bristol, BS1 1TG, UK and operates as Swanwick Foodservice Equipment Ltd.
During its history, Swanwick Foodservice Equipment Ltd has established a relationship with global brands, and now operates a successful import and export service for key manufacturers such as Electrolux, Garland and Hobart. Since 1958, Swanwick Foodservice Equipment Ltd has been providing top brands from the industry to end users. In 1990 we were one of the first catering equipment distributors to implement AutoCAD to plan and design kitchens, and up until the mid nineties were sole UK and Europe agents for many US and Canadian brands of food service equipment, including Market Forge, Vulcan Hart, APW Wyott, Jade and Univex.
The imposition of the CE certification in 1993 meant that the US brands could not be sold in Europe any longer, with a few exceptions, at which point we began to supply Zanussi Professional Equipment for the UK market, now known as Electrolux Professional. We continue to this day to supply US equipment into non-European destinations, including many countries in Africa and The Middle East. With the CE certification causing a division between available brands in Europe, Swanwick Foodservice Equipment Ltd introduced a new catering equipment export eCommerce store, 7DayChef.com.
